848. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) How many parking infringements has the Public Transport
Authority issued since 1 July 2014?
(2) How many were for failing to pay the $2 parking fee?
(3) How many were for parking outside of a marked bay?
(4) How many were for other reasons, and what were those
reasons?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1) The Public
Transport Authority has issued a total of 645 infringement notices since the
introduction of paid parking on 1 July 2014.
(2) The number is 317.
(3) The number is 260.
(4) The number of
infringement notices issued for other reasons is 68, as follows: failing to
display an ACROD permit; parking in a car bay designated for a different class
of vehicle; exceeding specified time limits; parking in a no-standing area;
parking contrary to signage; failing to comply with a direction to move; and
obstruction of access.
