Polyphagous shot-hole borer—Local government
96. Mr Peter Rundle to the Premier:
I have a
supplementary question. Is this secrecy yet another example of the government's
refusal to be open and accountable, even when public confidence and
environmental outcomes are at stake?

AnswerView source ↗

As the member would
have heard if he were listening, I do not know of any gag order or non-disclose
agreement or anything that he characterises in that way. What I said in my
original answer is that I assume that there would be communication protocols because
this is obviously an issue of great concern to the community. It is important
that the two levels of government understand their roles in providing accurate,
timely and informative information and news to people in their communities.
