I refer to the Housing Supply Unit set up in the Department
of Treasury in October 2023.
(1) Does the unit still fall under the portfolio
remit of the Treasurer since the machinery-of-government changes?
(2) How many FTE employees are currently working
in the Housing Supply Unit and at what pay levels?
(3) What housing has been delivered by the unit
since it was announced, and where?
(4) What major projects are being worked on by the
unit for 2025–26?

answer on behalf of the Treasurer.
(1) Yes.
(2) The unit has eight
full-time-equivalent positions ranging from level 4 to class 1.
(3)–(4) The unit continues to develop
policy and implement new programs to improve housing supply, including: leadership
of continued engagement with the Commonwealth Treasury and Housing Australia to
secure funding for social and affordable housing; identifying opportunities to
fast-track infrastructure delivery to unlock residential land across the state
through the $400 million Housing Enabling Infrastructure Fund (HEIF); and leading
development of a bill to enable the Commonwealth's Help to Buy shared equity
scheme to operate in Western Australia.
