Government’s procurement policies which exempt Aboriginal enterprises from the
‘Open and Effective Competition’ policy, announced by the Minister for
Aboriginal Affairs and Minister for Finance on 9 November 2012, and I ask, for
every agency under the jurisdiction of the Minister, since 1 August
2013: (a) how many Aboriginal businesses
have entered into contracts with Government agencies pursuant to these
changes; (b) how many contracts have been
entered into with Aboriginal businesses pursuant to these changes; (c) what is the average size of the contract that
has been entered into as a result of these changes to the Government’s
procurement policies; and (d) how many
projects were awarded to Aboriginal enterprises for capital projects and what
was the average size of each capital project?
