I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) It is assumed that the questions refer to the south west forest regions. The target for the 2004-05 financial year is between 200 000 and 220 000 hectares. A target range is provided because the final achievement is dependent on the autumn 2005 burn program, which has not yet been finalised. (2) Between 1 July and 20 November 2004 the area burned by prescribed fire is 92 139 hectares. (3) It is anticipated that CALM will complete its proposed 2004-05 burn program by the end of June 2005, subject to favourable weather and fuel moisture conditions.
