I refer to the radiation oncology service set to be delivered to Geraldton Health Campus, and I ask: (a) What differences in terms of construction are required to deliver the radiation oncology service compared to the hospital redevelopment; (b) Has the tender been awarded for this and if yes, who to; (c) What assurances have been made to ensure safety conditions will be met given the radiation set to be at the facility; (d) What assurances have been made to ensure the facility will be fit for purpose when it is finished; and (e) Has the tender gone out to a proponent who will be in charge of facilitating the service once it has been completed: (i) If no, when will the tender go out?

The Geraldton Health Campus Redevelopment Project is the biggest redevelopment of the facility since the early 2000s under the previous Gallop Labor Government.
a, c – d) All health facilities are built to the relevant construction codes including licensing by the Radiological Council where appropriate.
b) A contract variation was issued to the contractor delivering the Geraldton Health Campus redevelopment.
e) Further announcements will be made in due course.
