POLICE — DRUG-DRIVING BUSES
I will just say that how the Leader of the House could have a question in my name from Hon Ken Travers remains a mystery; it was certainly Hon Ken Travers’ question. Hon Norman Moore : I am trying to find out the answer; I think there might have been a typo. Hon ED DERMER : I remember the time one of the President’s predecessors gave me the call as “Hon Ken Dermer”, so confusing the two of us has been something of a tradition in the house over time! I am always delighted to be associated with Hon Ken Travers; I am pleased whenever that occurs. I will now turn to my question. (1) Can the minister advise how many additional drug-driving buses will be purchased and when they will be purchased? (2) When is it anticipated that the additional buses will be in operation? Hon PETER COLLIER

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question, and on behalf of the Minister for Police I provide the following response — (1) The funding originally allocated—$5 million—to purchase two new booze and drug buses has been reprioritised by Western Australia Police towards the information and communication technology business continuity project. (2) Not applicable.
