In relation to directions issued under section 42 (2) of the
Corruption and Crime Commission Act 2003
, I ask, since the election of the Barnett Government, on how many occasions has the CCC,
(a) directed the police and/or any other authority not to commence investigation of a misconduct matter;
(b) directed the police and/or any other authority to discontinue investigation of a misconduct matter; and
(c) directed the police and/or any other authority that an investigation of a misconduct matter is not conducted by an officer of the appropriate authority?

Since the election of the Barnett Government (6 September 2008), the Corruption and Crime Commission ("the Commission") has issued 44 notices pursuant to section 42(2) of the
Corruption and Crime Commission Act 2003
. Accordingly the Commission provides the following answers to the above questions.
(a) Seven.
(b) Thirty-seven (37).
(c) Forty-four (44). All section 42(2) notices contain this direction.
