(a) 1 (9 apprentices are employed by Downer EDI Engineering specifically for Public Transport Authority contracts)

(i) No specific funding has been allocated in 2008-2009 - funding is met through operating budgets and resource mixes required for operating purposes.
(f) No
(i) Funding will be provided through operating budgets depending on resource needs and candidate availability.
Dept Planning & Infrastructure -

(i) The department currently has an intake of 16 trainees
(f) The department's 2009-2010 budget has not been finalised

Main Roads WA -

(i) It is not in accordance with Main Roads workforce planning requirements.
Disability Services Commission -
(a) The DSC does not employ apprentices.
(b) The DSC currently employs three Public Service Trainees (two part-time School Based/Trainees and one full-time trainee) as defined by the Public Sector Award 1992.
(c) The DSC is currently developing its Year 3 Action Plan to implement its Equity and Diversity Management Plan 2006-2010). In this process, the target for the employment level of trainees will be taken into consideration.
(d) Undetermined at this stage.
(e) Central funding is not allocated for traineeships.
(i) Funding is sourced from existing budget allocation to directorates.
(f) The DSC has not yet determined the number of trainees it may recruit in the 2009-2010 financial year.
(i) If more trainees are required, funding will be found within existing allocations.
