I thank the member for some notice of this question. The
following information has been provided to me by the Minister for Health.
(1) There are
approximately 15 home and community care service providers operating in the
Australind and Bunbury areas and none is named either the Australind HACC
service or the Bunbury HACC service. Service providers include Bunbury and
Districts Meals on Wheels; Community Home Care, Bunbury; Harvey Health and Community
Services Group; Morrissey Homestead Inc; South West Aboriginal Medical Service;
Activ Homecare Services; Bethanie Community Care; Neurocare; Red Cross Carers
Support; Silver Chain Group; Southern Cross Community Services; Technology
Assisting Disability WA; and Uniting Church Homes (Juniper).
HACC service providers are
assessed against the National Community Care Common Standards by independent
quality verification officers on a triennial basis. The CCCS process operates
under a continuous improvement model.
(2)–(3) Not applicable.
