(b) if so - (i) who is responsible for authorising this polling; and (ii) for all polls undertaken since 30 June 2004, will the Premier table the information gathered through these polls?
(ii) for all polls undertaken since 30 June 2004, will the Premier table the information gathered through these polls?
(a) I am aware that public opinion may be sought by Government Departments and Agencies beyond what is provided in the community attitude monitor. As the Member is aware, Departments and Agencies, from time to time, carry out various types of research for marketing, advertising and policy purposes. (b) (i-ii) Polling of this nature is not reported centrally and the detailed information sought by the member is not readily available. Provision of this information would require considerable research and would divert staff away from their normal duties. However if the member has a specific query I will endeavour to provide a response.
