I refer to a report titled Goldfields Esperance Regional Planning Strategy July 2000 and in particular page 155 of the report - (1) Is it correct that relocation of Ninga Mia Village is a major issue as it is in the path of the gold super pit? (1) No. Page 155 of the "Goldfields-Esperance Regional Planning Strategy" contains, Appendix Three: Aboriginal Communities Consultation. This is a summary of the Aboriginal Communities Consultation technical report prepared by a consultant, as background information for the Strategy. As such it represents the views of either the aboriginal communities themselves or those of the consultant. The information contained within the technical report was reviewed by the Goldfields-Esperance Regional Planning Strategy Steering Committee. It was not included as an issue or recommendation of the Goldfields-Esperance Regional Planning Strategy as the future development plans for the Fimiston open cut operations of Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines do not require the relocation of Ninga Mia. (2) Not Applicable.
