(1)–(2) The
Department of Health assesses service delivery models, including for patient
transport services and associated contracts, to ensure quality and efficient
services are provided. Following consideration of the ''Review of St
John Ambulance: Health and Wellbeing, and Workplace Culture'' report,
the department recommended the development of a country ambulance strategy, and
that was supported by the minister on 11 October 2016.
(3) The terms of
reference are being developed by the WA Country Health Service in partnership
with the Regional Development Council and the Department of Health.
(4)–(6) This
will be informed by the terms of reference and process that is currently being
developed by WACHS.
