INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY NECTAR FESTIVAL
I refer to the annual International Women’s Day Nectar Festival in Fremantle. How much, if any, state government funding was provided to the festival for any of the following years — (a) 2008; (b) 2009; and (c) 2010? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of question. I did not know what the nectar day festival was, so I looked it up on the internet. The answer is nil, nil, and nil. The International Women’s Day 2011 grant program is currently open; it closes on 26 November. As next year is its 100-year anniversary, any organisation can submit an application as part of the program, provided that it meets the program’s priorities, in other words, it recognises the International Women’s Day.
