I refer to your answer to Legislative Assembly Question On Notice 5135, that Cabinet approved Stage 2 of the Perth Freight Link project in late 2014, and I ask: (a) on what specifc date was Cabinet approval granted for Stage 2 of the Perth Freight Link; (b) what total budget was allocated to the Stage 2 approval: (i) how much of this allocation is to be contributed as equity; and (ii) how much of this allocation is to be contributed as debt; and (c) on the date that Cabinet approved Stage 2 of the Perth Freight Link, did the project have a definitive route: (i) if yes, was the Cabinet approval relayed to the community, and when; and (ii) if no, what was the nature of the specifc Cabinet approval?

(a) – (bi) The Perth Freight Link project (comprising all of the sections) was considered by Cabinet late in 2014 while the 2016-17 budget has a total allocation of $1.901 billion for the entire project. The State’s contribution is planned to be recovered over a number of years via the introduction of a Heavy Vehicle Charge.
