I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
Schools were provided with preliminary budgets on 29 July
2014 based on projected student enrolments for 2015. This is earlier than
usual, to assist with their planning for 2015. Principals are able to plan for
the 2015 year now based on their preliminary budgets. Principals are able to
adjust their projected enrolments and recalculate their preliminary budgets in
the school resourcing system software up until census in February 2015. Final
budgets will be released in March 2015 and will be based on the school
enrolments at the student census undertaken in February 2015.
