AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) The Halls Creek children and family
centre is operational and has offered child care from the premises from 15
January 2012.
(2) The building completion date is likely to
be May 2012. It is anticipated that it will take a further month before the
centre is able to offer services.
(3) The scoping report for the Roebourne
children and family centre has been completed. A suitable site has been
selected and the design and service model are in the final stages of
development with the local community. An interim reference group for the design
has been identified and will meet on 22 March 2012.
(4) The tender for the construction of the
Kununurra children and family centre has closed and the appointment of a
successful respondent by Building Management and Works will take place in the
next three to four weeks.
