I refer to negotiations between Landcorp and the owners of the former Esplanade Hotel site in Albany and ask: (a) when did Landcorp first make contact with the owners of the site with an expression to purchase the site; (b) on what dates, and where did this negotiations take place; (c) what has been the progress of these negotiations, if any; (d) have the owners indicated that a change to the zoning of the site may facilitate a sale, and if so what was that change; (e) have there been any obstacles from the owners to negotiating with Landcorp, and if so what have they been; and (f) has Landcorp indicated to the owners any time frame within which negotiations my end and moves to compulsory acquire the site may begin, and if so what is that indicated time frame?

(a) LandCorp made contact with the owners' representative in September  2013 to discuss options for facilitating development of the site.
(b) LandCorp met with the owners or their representatives in October 2013 in  Perth and March 2014 in Singapore.
(c) Negotiations are continuing.
(d) Negotiations are continuing on the basis the site is identified in the  Middleton Beach Activity Centre Improvement Plan that is currently  advertised for public comment.
(e) LandCorp is currently working collaboratively with the owners and their  representatives to assist in facilitating development for the site
(f) LandCorp has advised the owners both processes are occurring in  parallel.
