(1) Has the West Australian (WA) Police Department in Kalgoorlie-Boulder received any complaints in February or March 2003 with photographic evidence concerning trailers from the Kalgoorlie Cement works located on Wilson and Oberthur Streets which carry large quantities of cement and had deficient/damaged, unserviceable hydraulic brakes, bald tyres, damaged indicator lenses and missing trailer plug connectors?
(2) Has the WA Police Department investigated all of these complaints?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
(4) If yes to (1), what was the outcome, if any, of these complaints?
(5) Did these trailers have bald tyres?
(6) Did these trailers have damaged indicator lenses and missing trailer plug connectors?

The Western Australia Police Service advise:
(1) No
(2 – 6) The Officer in Charge of Kalgoorlie Traffic Office attended Kalgoorlie Cement Works unannounced on 24 May 2003 and examined trailers on site. These trailers were found to be roadworthy.
