(1) The Forest Fire Behaviour Tables for Western Australia tabulate the rate of litter accumulation in forests dominated by jarrah (
Eucalyptus marginata
), karri (
Eucalyptus diversicolor
) and wandoo (
Eucalyptus wandoo
) based on the number of annual leaf falls and the percentage canopy cover (jarrah and karri forest) or stand basal area (wandoo forest). The relationship between litter depth and weight (in tonnes per ha) is also tabulated for native forests of karri, jarrah, wandoo, mixed stands of karri, jarrah and marri (
Corymbia calophylla
), and plantations of exotic
Pinus pinaster
and
Pinus radiata
.
(2) The most recent edition of the Forest Fire Behaviour Tables for Western Australia is dated 2011. The litter accumulation tables have remained unchanged since the 1985 edition.
