HOUSING —
PILBARA
471. Mr F.M. LOGAN to the
Premier:
I have a supplementary question. If the Premier will not
apologise to this house about what his government has done in squandering that
money, will he apologise to the people of Port Hedland and South Hedland for
allowing their property values to be sabotaged by this wasteful government
spending?

I assume, from that ludicrous supplementary question, that
the member thinks that $3 000 a week rentals are a good thing. Is that what he
thinks? We do not; we think working people should be able to afford housing.
The member hangs out too much with his rich mates, because they can afford $3 000
a week. Workers in Port Hedland cannot afford $3 000 a week. For a man from the
working class, the member is hanging out with the wrong set.
