(1) The minister gets advice on taxi industry matters from a number of sources, including taxi passengers, owner-drivers, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure and the Taxi Industry Board. The Taxi Industry Board has provided advice to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure via memos on four occasions: two on 31 October 2006, one on 11 September 2006 and one on 11 December 2006. It has also provided approved minutes of Taxi Industry Board meetings. The chair has also provided a report for the minister’s consideration. (2) The Taxi Industry Board advice has been provided to the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure in the form stated above.
