FAMILY AND
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE — GOVERNMENT ACTION PLAN
759. Ms S.F. McGURK to the
Minister for Women's Interests:
I refer to the government's recently launched
20-point action plan to combat family and domestic violence. Given that the
existing services working in this area are already stretched, what additional
resources have been allocated to implement this plan to ensure that the
unacceptable rate of family and domestic violence is halted?

As I have explained to the member for Fremantle previously,
the policy area around the provision of services in the domestic violence space
is held by my colleague Hon Helen Morton in the Legislative Council. So the
member will need to put that question on notice to her.
Mrs
M.H. Roberts : You're the Minister for Women's Interests!
Mrs
L.M. HARVEY : And Minister for Police.
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Midland, I call you to order for the first time, member
for Warnbro for the first time, and member for West Swan for the first time.
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Midland, I call you to order for the second time, and
member for West Swan for the second time.
