I refer to the number of psychologists employed with South West (SW) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), noting that at June 2010 two psychologists were employed, however this was subsequently cut back to one only, and ask —
(1) When did this occur and what was the reason for this cut, especially in light of the workload, wait times and the SW CAMHS business case calling for urgent additional resourcing?
(2) As at 1 September 2012, how many psychologists were employed with SW CAMHS?

(1) There has only ever been 1 FTE dedicated Psychologist position in the South West Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). However, there are a number of generic positions within the CAMHS team that can be filled by a psychologist, social worker, nurse or occupational therapist. This is why the number of specific professions may have fluctuated over the past two years.
(2) As at 1 September 2012, there is 0.6 FTE psychologist as the current incumbent recently reduced their working hours. The WA Country Health Service South West has commenced recruiting to the vacant 0.4 FTE.
