the question. The following answer is provided by the Minister for Community
Services in her capacity as coordinating minister, and reflects funding from both
the housing and community services portfolios.
(1) Yes.
(2) The amount of
funding Shelter WA received in 2018–19 was sector support and advocacy
service at an annual funding level of $762 616, excluding GST, and a Homelessness
Week funding grant of $15 000, excluding GST. The amount of funding received in
2019–20 was as follows: policy advice, shareholder engagement and influencing service, $638 406,
excluding GST, for the period 1 July 2019 to 31 March 2020 ; sector
support development and advocacy program, $193 456, excluding GST, for the
period 1 April 2019 to 30 June 2020; a Homelessness Week funding grant of $15 000,
excluding GST; and a WA Alliance to End Homelessness project grant of $100 000,
excluding GST.
