I thank the member for some notice of this question. The response I have is dated Tuesday, 14 March and is as follows. An informal meeting between the South Metropolitan Area Health Service and three doctors representing medical practitioners in Armadale took place two months ago. Following that meeting the doctors, in conjunction with another organisation, submitted a broad proposal to the South Metropolitan Area Health Service to lease the Galliers wing. This broad proposal was received by the area chief executive on 1 March 2006. Some clarification on the content of the proposal has been sought from the above organisation since then. No decision has been made at this stage.
