I thank the
honourable member for some notice of this question.
(1) The Bunbury bus fleet comprises 36
low-floor and two high-floor buses. Typically, the high-floor buses are used
only on school bus routes and the low-floor buses are used for either school
bus or town bus routes.
(2) There are 13
town bus routes in the morning and 11 town bus routes in the afternoon.
(3) All 36 of the
low-floor buses can be used on either route.
(4) (a) No high-floor
buses and 25 low-floor buses are fitted with CCTV cameras.
(b) No high-floor buses and 18 low-floor buses are fitted with driver
cages.
(5) There have been 12 occasions since 1
March 2015. Currently, patrols are rostered fortnightly and have been operating
on a fortnightly basis since 14 May 2015 with the exception of 15 October 2015
when the patrols did not operate as a result of security officers being absent
on sick leave.
