STATE BUDGET — ELECTRICITY CREDIT
825. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Energy:
This question is rather
inauspiciously number 666 and was asked on 13 June 2023, so it is a little old.
I
refer to the government's announcement of a $400 household electricity
credit over two equal payments in July–August 2023 and November–December
2023.
(1) What fiscal
impact or relief will the $400 credit have on the 36 148 Synergy customers to
date this year currently repaying debt via a debt replacement plan?
(2) What fiscal
impact or relief will the $400 credit have on the 68 228 customers to date this
year who have been charged a late payment fee?
(3) What fiscal
impact or relief will the $400 credit have on the 2 703 customers to date this
year who have had their power disconnected?

of $200 from 8 July 2023 and 2 December 2023.
