For each department, agency, Commission or Government Trading Enterprise within the Minister’s portfolio of responsibilities: (a) does the organisation hold a contract, sponsorship or any other financial arrangement with any outside body which specifies the provision of hospitality, VIP or corporate box access or general admission tickets to an event as part of that contract, sponsorship or financial arrangement; and (b) if yes to (a), what is the name of the outside body for which the provision of hospitality, VIP or corporate box access or general admission tickets to an events is part of any contract, sponsorship or any other financial arrangement?

(b)The Department provides recurrent funding to non-government organisations to deliver arts and cultural activities. Recurrent funding contracts stipulate that a representative of the Department and Lotterywest is invited to events;this is required to ensure the organisation is meeting its contractual obligations and to assist in the assessment of artistic merit and/or service delivery. Attendance at events is also important for professional development and arts sector networking.

It should be noted that in addition to the list above, the Perth Theatre Trust's core business is the hiring of the State's venues, and in the course of the year holds hundreds of venue hire agreements with a wide range of performing arts companies and commercial events promoters. These agreements include the provision of a small number of 'house seats' and is standard practice internationally in the venue management industry.
For over a decade the management of these venues has been outsourced to AEG Ogdens (Perth), with the Trust resuming direct management in January 2015. As part of the transition process, this and other policies are currently under review.
