(1 - 2) There are no current plans to dredge The Cut. It is not a recognised (gazetted) navigation channel, nor considered suitable for safe navigation and has never previously been dredged for navigation purposes. Minor excavation of sand in The Cut was undertaken during repairs of the northern training wall in the early 1980s and 2014.
