(1) Consultants Worley Parsons were engaged by the former Department for Planning and Infrastructure to undertake the York Freight and Traffic Study in 2007. Local and State Government agencies have recently commenced discussions to reassess the need for further work on a new river crossing and potential road bypass around York. The outcome of these discussions will enable the Shire of York to amend their Local Planning Strategy accordingly.
(2) Yes.
(3) (a-c) These matters are subject to ongoing negotiation between relevant government agencies and the Shire of York.
(4) Not applicable.
