Horizon Power advises:
The total cost for the State Government to provide energy services to Yalgoo, Sandstone, Menzies and Gascoyne Junction covered by Horizon Power's Service area, for the financial year 2013/14 is detailed in the below table;
Costs of providing energy services
Total Costs, $
Town of Gascoyne Junction
1,013,128.32
Town of Menzies
995,326.20
Town of Sandstone
862,229.97
Town of Yalgoo
1,252,367.41
The nature of cost allocation within the South West Interconnected System does not readily lend itself to picking out costs in the manner required by the question.
Isolating these costs would require significant time and resources and the Government is not prepared to allocate these resources solely for the purpose of answering the question.
