(1) One.
(2) The child psychiatrist position is a component of the WA Country Health Service's South West Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and provides services in the following locations:
Bunbury - 3 days per week;
Busselton - 1 day per week; and
Manjimup - 1 day per week.
(3) This position was vacated in January 2012 and is currently filled by a full time locum service. Recruitment to fill this position has been completed and the successful applicant will commence in July 2012. The locum service will continue until that time.
(4) The wait time for consultation with a child psychiatrist is determined by the individual's presenting symptoms and level of acuity. The current waiting period ranges from 0 to 3 weeks. Children and adolescents that are acutely unwell are seen by a child psychiatrist within 24 hours.
(5) Nil.
