Can the Minister confirm what areas in and around Subiaco Oval are protected under the State Register of Western Australia Act 1990, and: (a) when
were the areas added to the register; (b) how
will the registration of areas in and around Subiaco Oval impact on the stadium’s
redevelopment; (c) is
only less than half of WA football’s Sandover Medal walk listed on the register: (i) if
yes, why isn’t the entire Sandover Medal walk listed considering its heritage
value; and (ii) what
will be done with the Sandover Medal walk pavers; (d) what
steps are being taken to preserve the valuable sporting heritage in and around the stadium; and (e) is
the Subiaco Oval playing surface also protected under the Act?

(a) This information is publicly available on the Inherit website.
(b) The entry of Subiaco Oval in the State Register will ensure that the identified cultural heritage values of the place are considered, preserved and interpreted as part of the redevelopment.
(c)(i) The Sandover Medal Walk was not identified by the Heritage Council as an element of state value.
(ii) This is a Landcorp/Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority Issue.
(d) This information is set out in section 11 of the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990.
