NICHELIVING — HOME CONSTRUCTION DELAYS
755. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the Minister for Commerce:
I refer to the minister's meeting with Nicheliving
this week in relation to hundreds of unfinished homes across Perth dating back
more than three years and her comments on ABC radio this morning when the
minister claimed she was awaiting further information from Nicheliving.
(1) What specific information did the minister request
from Nicheliving, and what information was Nicheliving unable to provide
during the meeting?
(2) When does
the minister expect to receive advice from the Building and Energy Commissioner
to confirm the claims made by Nicheliving, and when will this information be
made available to impacted customers and the public?
(3) What advice has the minister sought to confirm the
claims made by Nicheliving that it is not trading insolvent?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1)–(3)
I sought a range of information from Nicheliving to better understand the
current status of its home builds, including the number of builds, status and
the timeframes for completion. I will discuss that information with the
Building Commissioner to add to the data he already has to get a clearer
overall picture.
