943. Hon Tom Stephens to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
(1) Is the Premier and his Government still committed to obtaining through the Perth convention centre project a building for Perth that is of "icon status"?
(2) In view of the Lend Lease Nexus consortium winning an American Institute of Architects Award for Excellence for its convention centre design, and in view of the popular acclaim for the Leighton Consortium's project designed by the world famous architect Lord Foster, is the Premier satisfied that with the selected convention centre proposal Perth will still have the "iconic and world class status" referred to in the expressions of interest document?
