338. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Minister for Tourism:
I
refer to the contractual arrangements to support the United Cup in Perth held
at RAC Arena from 29 December 2022 to 4 January 2023.
(1) Did the
government receive the provision of hospitality, VIP or corporate box access or
general admission tickets to the event?
(2) If yes to (1) —
(a) how many corporate boxes were
provided and what were their size;
(b) how many general admission
tickets were provided; and
(c) what was the value of the
corporate hospitality?
(3) If yes to (2)(a), who attended
each session in the WA government corporate boxes?
(4) If yes to (2)(b), to whom were
the general admission tickets allocated?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) (a) A
corporate box with a 12-seat capacity was provided as part of Tourism WA's
sponsorship agreement for each of the day and night sessions.
(b) Forty-two general admission
tickets were provided.
(c) A corporate
hospitality box was included as part of the sponsorship agreement; however, its
total value was $4 800.
