(1-4) WA Health is aware of private clinics offering medical, psychological, allied health and multidisciplinary gender affirming care to young patients in Western Australia.
Prescribing of puberty blockers is monitored through standard pharmaceutical regulations and professional oversight. Surgical interventions for the purposes of gender affirmation are not performed for minors in the WA public health system.
