IRRIGATION SCHEME
1048. Hon DIANE EVERS to the minister representing the
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I refer to the southern forests
irrigation scheme and the minister's response to my question C736.
(1) Has a section 18 application under the Aboriginal
Heritage Act 1972 been made for the entire area or parts thereof,
including the dammed area, the area inundated by the weir, the pumping stations
and the pipeline?
(a) If yes to
(1), which parts?
(b) If yes to
(1), when will the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee review and give
recommendations for the section 18 application?
(2) If no to (1),
will a section 18 application be completed; and, if not, why not?
(3) In relation
to (1)(b), if a decision on such an application has been made, will the
minister table the relevant minutes; and, if not, why not?
