Limited registration is a mechanism giving schools the ability to employ well-qualified people to fill specific teaching roles when needed, and is granted based on a rigorous assessment of a nominee’s eligibility. Examples of these types of teachers are design and technology teachers who may hold a trade qualification, language teachers or those who hold specialist qualifications, and pre-service teachers in their final years of training.
