In September 2001 the Department of Education appointed Welling Solutions Pty Ltd to work in China, and Jo Lin Enterprises Pty Ltd in Australia, to recruit international students from China on a non-commission basis. The Department has also printed brochures on the participating schools and has established a website. (2) The only costs incurred are printing costs, which are: 1999 - $6 894 2000 - $9 507 2001 - $150 (as at 1 November 2001) (3) As at November 2001, 34 students are enrolled from the following countries: 8 Indonesia 5 Hong Kong 5 Malaysia 3 China 3 Japan 2 Thailand 1 Russia 1 Korea 1 Botswana 1 British National 1 Burma 1 Germany 1 Taiwan 1 Vietnam
