The Ministry for Culture and the Arts has prepared plans for the upgrade of the Blue Room, as outlined in the performing arts venues masterplan, titled Capital Works, Capital Venues. Funding for this project is built into the Ministry's ten-year capital investment plan and is subject to the usual budget process. Progress on the Cultural Centre redevelopment will significantly upgrade the associated precinct and improve the accessibility of the Blue Room.
