(2) Investigations are likely to take a further two years to conclude, but current indications are encouraging for the use of Wellington Dam for local, regional and State water needs in the future. (3) The costs will depend on the scale of the preferred scheme. At this stage, the cost of the supply and timing for the development has not been determined. (4) It is possible that 40-50GL per year could be allocated to public water supply from Wellington Dam and other sources within the Collie Basin, depending on climate, water quality management and irrigation water trading.
