EXPLOSIVES
DISCOVERY — AUSTRALIND
717. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the
acting Minister for Police:
I have a supplementary question. Is
the minister prepared to order a full-scale occupational health and safety
review to ensure the safety of police officers in incidents such as this?

AnswerView source ↗

I am sure that after this operation
is completed, whenever that may be, as is normally the case there will be an
appropriate review of the whole operation and the procedures that have been
used and consideration about whether any changes should be made for the future,
if indeed that is appropriate. It is not appropriate to speculate about those
issues at this point while a major operation is underway and is yet to be
concluded.
