(1) This is incorrect. I am advised by the Department of Education that at the beginning of the 2011 school year there were 4 school aged students resident in the Patjarr community.
(2) Schooling for students at Patjarr is available through the School of the Air.
(3) The Department of Education pays the Patjarr community an amount of $4 000 per annum for space and utilities.
(4) No. The Department of Education has been allocated space in a building owned by the Patjarr community.
(5) - (5)(a)(i) Providing learning programs through School of the Air allows the Department to respond more appropriately to the educational needs of the students by providing a broader curriculum. For the numbers of students resident in the community, schooling provided through the School of the Air is appropriate.
