636. Hon Nick Goiran to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health Infrastructure:
I refer to the
recently announced $50 million health asset maintenance fund.
(1) Are Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth
Hospital and Armadale Health Service the only hospitals eligible to access this
fund?
(2) If yes to (1), what criteria was used to make
this determination?
(3) Are equipment replacement requests from those
three hospitals eligible for funding consideration from the fund?
(4) Has a request been received for the
replacement of the out-of-date cardiac equipment at Fiona Stanley Hospital to
be funded from this fund?
(5) Will the minister table the shortlist of
projects that the director general referred to during the budget estimates
hearing on 27 August 2025?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following has been
provided by the Minister for Health Infrastructure.
(1)–(2) The fund
announced on 18 August 2025 is for additional maintenance at Sir Charles Gairdner
Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Armadale Health Service. The fund is in
addition to maintenance, minor works, equipment and project funding across all our
hospitals.
(3)–(4) Medical equipment replacement is
funded separately.
(5) The shortlist of projects is currently subject
to cabinet-in-confidence.
