(1) I assume the Honourable member is referring to the Austral (Formally Metro) plant in Caversham. The Austral plant does not have an emission scrubber. (2) The Austral kiln in Caversham is used for making clay roof tiles and it has a significantly lower production volume and therefore lower emissions than the other brickworks in the Swan Valley. The production at the Caversham site is 80 000 tonnes per annum as compared to 200 000 tonnes and 160 000 tonnes for Austral's other two kilns in the Swan Valley. (3) Yes.
