FORTESCUE METALS GROUP - STATE AGREEMENT
I refer the Premier to the state agreement with Fortescue Metals Group. (1) Has the company submitted all of its detailed infrastructure, mining, community and environmental plans for government approval as required under the agreement? (2) If not, does the government expect the plans to be submitted in December as per the company’s request for a deadline extension? (3) What response does the Premier offer to the company’s recent and public statements that its railway development has been delayed by the government’s approval processes? Hon KIM CHANCE

I thank the Leader of the Opposition for some notice of this question. As there are two state agreements with Fortescue Metals Group, I ask the member to advise to which state agreement he is referring so that an answer can be provided to the question. Hon Norman Moore : Come on! That is without doubt pathetic. I will treat it with the contempt it deserves.
