I have already been very clear on
the record that we have delivered 2 100 homes to date, with another 1 000 under
contract and construction, and this budget has now made a record boost. I have
to say this, and I should have mentioned it before: the other mess that they
left us was, of course, the whole integrity issues of Paul Whyte and the
scandals that engulfed the agencies. There was the Goldmaster saga, which I am
having to clean up. There was their terrible performance in managing an agency.
That is everything that we face.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order!
Mr J.N. CAREY : I will come
back to this: we have a clear plan. We have delivered 2 100 homes to date and
now have a new target of nearly 5 000 homes. What is the opposition's
plan? Can anyone tell us? The Leader of the Liberal Party is focused on puberty
blockers. They have not had one housing policy, measure or initiative for
social housing, affordable housing or
homelessness—nothing in 7.5 years. They have not had one policy. That
is what we face: an opposition that has done no work, is lazy and is now
scrambling around calling people, saying, ''Have you got an idea because
we have got none?''
