(1) Does the Fire and Emergency Services Authority have a schedule for replacement of appliances and major equipment for the current and next three financial years? On behalf of the minister representing the Minister for Emergency Services, I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Yes. (2) The replacement schedules for major equipment and appliances for the current and the next three financial years are as follows: career fire and rescue service light tanker replacement program, 2006-13; the volunteer emergency services unit fleet replacement program, 2007-17; the volunteer fire and rescue service light tanker replacement program, 2006-13; the breathing apparatus replacement program 2009-14; and the country fire and rescue service medium pump replacement program, 2010-18. There is also an emergency rescue equipment program; and the volunteer fire and rescue service GPA replacement program and hose replacement strategy. Existing annual schedules are indicative only as they are impacted on by changes such as the build schedules of suppliers and ongoing prioritisation based on operational requirements.
